Sturgeon farmTHE RIGHT WAY

There’s a lot of buzz about sustainable farming, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve seen how much richer the soil is when we control weeds, pests and disease without toxic chemicals. We’re pretty sure it

Everyone is talking about “sustainable” and “organic” fish farming — but unfortunately, much of that buzz is built on loopholes and clever wording instead of real responsibility.

Many of these so-called sustainable farms rely on fish feed produced by trawling the ocean floor, wiping out ecosystems just to call it “sustainable.”
Others proudly display “organic” labels while still releasing antibiotics, pesticides, and toxic treatments directly into the sea — all hidden behind technicalities in the regulations.

They use the language of sustainability.
They use the marketing.
They use the labels.
And then they quietly work around the definitions.

We do none of that. Ever.

We don’t greenwash.
We don’t exploit loopholes.
We don’t pollute the ocean and pretend otherwise.

100% of our feed comes only from certified fisheries or trimmings from fish already processed for human consumption.
We use absolutely no antibiotics. No chemicals. No shortcuts.

We are small — because integrity takes time and intention.
But we are clean. We are honest. And we are truly sustainable — not just in name, but in practice.

our harvest taste better, too.

FARMED WITH LOVE

When we started to farm, it was just the two of us. Now

When we started the orchard eight years ago, we thought it would be simple — plant a few trees, tend them, enjoy the harvest.
We had no idea.

Did you know that just one acre of apple orchard requires over 400 man-hours a year just to maintain?
That’s pruning, mowing, thinning, feeding, monitoring — and that number doesn’t even include harvesting.
And for organic growers, the workload is even higher.

But we’re committed.
We’re striving to become 100% organic, and we’re nearly there.
Just one persistent non-native caterpillar — one last obstacle — stands between us and a completely organic orchard. We’re working on an effective natural solution, and once we solve that, we’ll have achieved our goal.

What started as “plant a few trees” has become a labour of love, science, patience, and stubborn determination.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

got kids of our own and 10 employees who’ve become our extended family. We’re all here because we absolutely love what we do.
